The road back home holds the sweetest moments of life.
A bird that goes with the flow,
Every day it follows the blue truck driven by Dad.
After parting from Mom and little sister,
It rides along the clinking truck, crossing highways and bridges to the countryside worksite.
Together they pass dense forests,
The rolling waves by the seaside,
And fields of rice paddies,
Stopping along the way to work.
Why does the bird always follow the blue truck?
Lian-En uses everyday materials like flyers, newspapers, and cardboard.
Through careful arrangement of these humble items,
she beautifully captures the shared landscapes and warmth of Taiwanese life.
Amidst this rich visual feast, a deep feeling of homesickness quietly arises within us
